A Short Meditation on Epiphany:
THE MOON IS A FITTING METAPHOR

The moon is a fitting metaphor to describe our lives as followers of God in the way of Jesus. On its own, the moon has no internal source of light. It is not a star but rather a celestial body that reflects the light of the sun at night. In essence, the moon is a giant mirror ball, bouncing the light of the sun towards the earth, providing a pathway in the darkness of earthʼs night. Is our mandate as children of God who share His light with each other not to do the very
same thing, bathing our world in the cleansing beauty of His Light?
